Our company started in 1988 with just one employee, Executive Chef Jeffrey George. He was not only the chef, but also the sales person, bookkeeper and dishwasher! Kim and Jeffrey George found each other shortly after he founded the company, meeting while bidding on an event. Jeffrey not only won the event, he found his bride. Catering by George continued working with Kim and her event planning company Classic Events. Planning events together (including that first one!) for five years and then planning their own wedding. In 1997, Kim joined Jeffrey and Catering by George. After incorporating in 1998, Kim took over the company’s day to day operations and financial management as well as certifying Catering by George as a Women Owned Business with the WBEA. This allowed Jeffrey to focus on the kitchen operations and event productions. We love food, we love our clients and we love events and seeing people enjoying them! We have created a successful business by treating employees and clients like family and have continued to grow because of our focus on providing good value to our clients.
